It’s been a while since we posted a video in here, and a lot has happened since! After waiting out the storm for some days, we left Ærø and had a great sail to Omø, where we spent a perfectly calm day enjoying the sunshine and the island. Then we had a slow sail with almost no wind, which took us to Femø for a night. From there, we continued to Stubbekøbing, where we found a great anchorage buoy and had the calmest night so far on Désirée. The next leg of the journey took os to Møn, where we docked in Klintholm harbour and went to explore Møns Klint on a day trip. Then we set sails for Sweden – and reached it, although assisted by motor, as the winds died off during our crossing. In our first Swedish harbour in Skanör, we spent some very windy days and welcomed our first guests on board – Anne, Anders and Simone. The first sail with our 5-person crew took us through the Falsterbo channel to Gislövsläge, after which we headed for Ystad. Once again experiencing strong winds from the East, we spent two days here exploring the city and the near-by ship setting ‘Ales stenar’, built on the cliffs in Kåseberga during the Viking Age.
We hope you enjoy the video! We are headed for Bornholm next and are very excited about it.
All the best and god vind!
