Yesterday we tied the boat up to an anchorage buoy near Sortsø, by Stubbekøbing. The water was perfectly calm, there was no wind and the boat wasn’t moving at all.
After eating dinner, we got the idea to pull one of us up the mast, as we needed to fix three things up there still:
- The steaming light at the middle height of the mast hadn’t been installed yet
- The lazy-jack rope on starboard side had to be pulled through
- The line for guest flags on starboard was also still missing and had to be added
As we are planning to sail to Sweden very soon and need to be able to hoist a guest flag, we thought this extremely calm evening was a good chance to go up the mast without any stress from wind or waves. I got in the climbing gear and Paul prepared the lines to pull me up. We managed very well and fixed all three tasks without any issues – and the view was stunning!
After a super nice and calm night at anchor, we sailed to Klintholm today in great weather conditions. Tomorrow we will go explore Møns Klint, and after that we will probably head to Sweden one of the next days if the weather allows!
