The prettiest teak in town

We have been working on many ‘invisible’ projects so far – cables that are hidden away, the motor that is under the floorboards, the through holes that are hidden under the benches, and so on. They have all been very important projects in terms of functionality and safety on board, but we haven’t really worked on any very visible results – until now! Liv’s dad Anders offered to come by for a week to help out, and as we know he loves to work with wood, we asked him if he would like to renew the two teak ledges on top of the pilothouse roof – they are quite long and had become a little flexible after their 32 years on board. Furthermore, we knew that water was getting in underneath one of them, which would of course also be nice to fix.

Anders worked with Claus in his wood workshop and within no time they had replicated the two teak ledges – we even decided to put a support in the middle of them to make them more sturdy and safe.

As the result was so nice and it had taken much less time than we had expected, we decided to renew the front ledges as well. We are super happy about the result, thanks so much Anders & Claus! 🙂

God vind!

it was both a visible and beautiful result and a good contribution to safety for many years to come. and then you also just reinforced the profile and added an extra support on the wheelhouse roof.
